CALL OF DUTY > “Prayer School for Men”

On January 3rd when I was struck by back pain so severe that my left leg was almost useless, I could not sleep at night, and no way I could do my job, I knew something major was about to change. The time had come and God was ready to collect on what he has been putting in me my whole life. Now it was time, A CALL OF DUTY!

Satan has been working hard to feminize God’s Church for many many years. The body of Christ is male! If the dark kingdom could do a sexual perversion and make the body of Christ transsexual, or gay, it would certainly do so, and has tried hard to do so. Remember, Christ is the head of the Church, and the Church as a whole is his body! So if Satan can feminize the Church, then we have a spiritual perversion of what the Church is meant to be!

I’m going to have a lot more to say on this, but Satan is very worried right now, because Christian men are beginning to hear a SPIRITUAL CALL OF DUTY! It seems God has apprehended me to play a part in that, in my small part of the world. I’m still not working, but I do now have a plan! (To be revealed in near future.) But currently I am still working hard to turn my home and property into “Prayer School”, a Holy Spirit Dojo for Men!

PRAYER SCHOOL,  a Holy Spirit Dojo for Men!

We had a really rough winter here in Indiana, and then my back went out on me, then surgery eventually came, followed by weeks of recovery, and I got to say this property got in pretty bad shape. It was hard to stand by and watch it happening, especially after God revealed to me what we were about to do!

I wish I took pictures of just how bad it really was, because a lot of cleanup and progress has already been made. But I have not been up on my roof yet, and we are working very hard on the Prayer School room itself. The room has a cement floor, but we are about to lay hardwood that we have had stored away for years. (Someone just happened to give it to us.)

So the purpose of shooting this out today is to just give you a taste of what God is doing to turn what the devil intended for evil, and turn it to my good! And God will also use it to the good of many others! Prayer School is starting out for men only. Maybe it will always be that way, I do not know, but as always it is my #1 plan to always make the devil wish he never touched me! And he is going to pay big time on this one! I would appreciate any prayers you would like to send my way as we endeavor to launch this effort on the west side of Indianapolis. Pray for an open heaven over this city, and a move of God to come like little David facing Goliath! We hope to surprise some people.

“Weak towards God”

“…for when I am weak, then am I strong.”    Signed: Apostle Paul / II Cor. 12:10

Before we go farther into this, let me confirm this is still a samurai message about mastery. We do not understand that if we want to be strong against Satan, we must be weak towards God.

What do I mean by that?

We’ve got to stop resisting God. We’ve got to recognize spiritual pride in our life. We’ve got to be able to pray, “Thy will be done”, and mean it. We need to humble ourself in prayer. We need to understand that obedience is better than sacrifice. Why do you say to me, Lord, Lord, and yet you do not do what I say? We are not weak towards God, we resist God, and then the devil defeats us because we are as a ronin samurai without a master, who does not know what it means to not be his own.

“Submit yourselves therefore unto God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  (James 4:7)

God resist the proud. I do not mean to write a lot on this in this article, because I have already written on this extensively if you simply go up to the header bar and click on “X-Superman”. My new understanding of what it means to be weak towards God has been opening incredible doors for me. I cannot recommend the “X-Superman” articles highly enough. But I will leave you with this one more very powerful scripture.

“For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge!” (II Cor. 7:11)

Be sure to study that scripture closely because you should see a stairway to higher living in that verse, but notice where it starts. It starts in a place weak towards God, but ends in a powerful vengeance trail! We must be careful not to skip a single step in that holy staircase. If you want to know more, the “X-Superman” button awaits you. What does it mean to be a Samurai Bride?

“Complete Mastery”

“If you loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”

signed: John 14:28b

As long as we continue to be on this subject of mastery, people are always trying to figure out how God and Jesus could be ONE, if he said the Father was greater than him? Jesus said it was expedient that we fulfill all righteousness, and then he went about giving us our greatest example of what that looked like.

Consider this: How could Jesus demonstrate for us mastery, discipleship, obedience, and complete trust if he did not willingly subject himself to the will of the Father?

Jesus showed complete mastery in that he was completely obedient. Again, there is no mastery without obedience to a master. God has given us this same opportunity through the Holy Spirit residing in us! The more I allow the Holy Spirit to master me, the more excellence of mastery I will walk in.

If I truly desire to be a Sword Priest of His Word, then I need to make myself weak towards God, in that I submit to his will, way, and word in my life, and I become a disciple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus honored the Father as greater, and set the example for us in complete obedience to his Master. We can be living Swords of the Lord, if we allow God to direct us in a most holy Samurai way.

“Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”  Signed: John 8: 28-29

“Samurai Dog”

Perhaps dogs understand what it means to be Samurai better than any of us. It has been a while since I’ve shown my dog, Shadow. She is muscular and weighs in at around 80 lbs. She is my loyal companion. I worked with her constantly while she was growing up. Yes sir, from pup to Samurai.

She is Samurai because she is so dedicated to me. She is loyal and brave. Wherever I go in the house, she is contented to follow me around. When I linger at a spot, she plops down and just lays there. As long as she is with me, she seems to be happy. Unless it is the bathroom. She avoids that room like the plague! She does not like tub baths, even though she will jump in a lake or creek in a New York second! (Even when it is freezing out!) She is one tough dog.

I believe Shadow would give her life for her master. We have a connection and I look out for her, too. I understand her desire to be in my presence, because I feel the same way about God, and I want to be dedicated, loyal, brave, and pleasing to God. I love his presence in my life, and I have very bad memories of times when I drifted. Those times did teach me just how good it feels when I am close to him.

So yes, I did kind of set this message up as a way to bring Shadow into things, but it is a very good message, just the same. She is a living example to me of what it means to be Samurai. I have more pictures on her, now that she is grown, that will be coming soon. And on that note, here is my Samurai dog in glorious battle!

“Two Masters”

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.”             signed: Jesus, the Christ.

“They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.”                  signed: II Peter 2:19

God has given me very strong direction for where to go with this site, this year. If you are new to the site then you will not notice the changes, but this cowboy has taken up a sword and challenged himself to be Samurai, for Christ.

This is the first subject we are going to explore: Spiritually speaking, what does it mean to serve a master? God’s definition of a master is > whatever has overcome you, or controls you.

Here’s a dirty little secret: No one is a free spirit, because we have all been overcome by sin, therefore, unless we have been set free from the power of sin, by the power of Christ, then we are still under the power of sin and it is our master.

Now if we have been set free from sin, to serve righteousness, then Christ has become our Master, and the question becomes: “How well are we serving?”

Here is another way to look at it. We either serve good, or evil. Now a slave to sin might also have good works they can point to, but if they are still overcome by sin, then sin is still their master, and all their good works are defiled by the curse of sin, like a doctors surgery is defiled if they do not sterilize everything.

What I am saying is, according to scripture we all have a master, and we all choose which master we will serve, the only question is how well you serve that master? If you have not chosen Christ, then sin is still your master, which is the kingdom of darkness and curse. All your good works are defiled, and will not stand the fires of judgment in that day.

If my words are offensive, it is because they are a SWORD! And I invite others to join me in no longer being ashamed of the complete WORD OF GOD, and begin to declare war on the devil!

No we have not. The Church, Christians, the body of Christ has been so busy loving God that they have lost their hate for the devil!

No, not every single Christian, but the Church as a whole? Yes, we have not seen the true fires of revival in a long time, not here in America.

The cares of this world are choking us out.

In the days of slavery it meant, “Do as you’re told or else! And the “or else” was likely to be very bad. Whether the lost realize it or not, that is the kind of master they still serve. It is only the grace of God giving them a little more time to be saved, before allowing the curse of sin to destroy them. These are the ones we are fighting for! The will of our Master is for us to fight the good fight of faith for those who are lost! Satan is our enemy in this fight! Who are you fighting for today? What vision of God, or good deed, or salvation of a soul, are you fighting for?

The Christian serves a Master who says, “Do this and your life will be blessed, or if not, then understand you will suffer loss, but it is your choice.”

As a Samurai for Christ, I have a Master, and I have a Sword, a very special Sword. It is my heart’s desire to serve my Master with the Sword he has given me, and for that to happen, then I must seek mastery of the Sword. Will I ever be perfect? No. But can I improve? Can I live it better? Can I serve righteousness better? Yes, we can always seek to grow.

Then we need to understand this subject of having a master. Jesus plainly said that no man serve two masters, and went on in that same verse to mention MONEY as one of the masters that desires to overcome us. It is one of the evils, if it CONTROLS us, that will choke out our service to the Kingdom we claim.

I do not know how good of a job I have done in beginning to look at this subject of Master, and mastery, for they are related. The Samurai not only serves a master, but seeks “mastery” of being a faithful servant warrior.

I only recently found an animated show called; “Samurai Jack”. I was amazed that his battle is with a demon, and he has a special sword forged by three monks in the mountains, and he speaks of overcoming the demon with RIGHTEOUSNESS. What a symbolic picture! If only we as Christians, were as dedicated to our Sword, as Samurai Jack is to his. If only we were as dedicated to our assignments as he is to his.

Again, I do not know how well I have addressed this subject of choosing our master, and what does it mean to serve him well, because that is what it means to be Samurai, > One who Serves.

Please be sure to read previous article of > “I’m not Ronin”, for more teaching on this subject, and the current transitioning of this site. This subject is to be continued.

“I’m not Ronin”

If you have followed this site for a while, you know there has been a Samurai sword, along with a Bible, on the dash of my truck for a long time. I made changes during the last half of last year, and coming into 2014, I have felt challenged of God to take it up another notch. In my book, “The Last Christmas of Jonah Joe”, I wrote about what it means to be Samurai for Christ. Because of the “cowboy theme” of this site I have not shared my thoughts about a spiritual Samurai here. I have kept it to a minimum, even though it may have slipped in a little now and then, but in 2014 the sword is off the dash and in my hands!

Scripture calls the Bible, the Sword of the Spirit!

Jesus said that his words were Spirit!

He also said he had not come to send peace, but a sword!

I think most of us know that the pen truly is mightier than the sword, because words are as a sword, a mightier sword that penetrates mind and spirit, not just flesh! People will die for what they believe in. Give a large group of people a true and just cause to believe in and they will defeat many swords while pursuing the “words” that have become alive in their heart, soul, and mind! To be a word smithy either in speech or written, is to be a sword master, a sword like none other. With words we move the hearts of the masses.

We have a sword that comes out of our mouth, the Word of God, and depending on how well we know and live that word determines whether the devil even knows your name, or not. Maybe you don’t want the devil to know your name? Well, you see, I do! And I challenge the readers of this blog to dare to want the same. To take up God’s sword and not be afraid to speak it, preach it, teach it, write it, and live it! To be Samurai for Christ, a devoted and dedicated lifestyle leading to great exploits in our God.

A Ronin was a Samurai without a master, a masterless Samurai. A Samurai lived to serve. His life was his sword and his sword was dedicated to a master. To be without a master was considered to be shameful, a disgrace. Many people today take pride in being a masterless Samurai, but in the old ways, and the old code, it was not so.

I am not Ronin! I have a sword, and a Master I love and serve.

In setting the new theme for this site in 2014, I believe a shift has come in the wind. Duck Dynasty is a sign of that shift, and here is the thought I want to leave with you. Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 >

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.”

There are plenty of sites inviting you to love God, but I am inviting you to also hate the devil.

Have you ever thought about that half of the equation? How much do you hate the devil? Do you hate him enough to want him to know your name? If he knows you it is because you are not weak in your faith, you are not hiding, but you have taken up God’s holy sword, trained yourself in it, and you do things! Think about all the pain, hunger, heartache, and suffering that he is at the root of in this world, and rise up in righteous anger against your enemy. He may come to you in many different faces, but they are not your enemy, they are victims we seek to save, Satan is the enemy.

I believe there is still a place for righteous anger today. I do not believe God’s word teaches that righteous anger has passed away, but it does have to be controlled, by a child of God who has trained himself in the old ways. I enjoy a good fire in my soul. The time of lukewarm Christians are passing!

We know what it means to love God, but I think we have yet to catch the vision of what it means to hate the devil, and use that righteous fire as motivation to spoil the strong man’s house! Think about it. If we truly love people, we will understand  how important it is for all of us to be about our Father’s business in binding the devil. First we bind, and then we spoil.

I realize this is not typical Christian teaching. If you hope to rescue someone, you have to attack whatever the threat to them is. This is about being  a Rescue Ranger for somebody, and joining them in attacking the devil in their behalf. Our God has provided a living sword for this spiritual warfare. Always be seeking more of the Holy Spirit in your life, that you may wage a good warfare. Amen.

A different kind of Lone Ranger and Tonto

0329131311mms_pictureYes, it is hard to believe she was ever that small, but now she is seventy-five pounds of dedicated dog. She hangs with me everywhere I go. She shadows me. We are bonded. She would protect me with her life. We go swimming together in the creek. We are buddies, partners, and pals. We are a different sort of Lone Ranger and Tonto.

This is a strange way to introduce what will be the new theme of this blogsite, that of a Lawman, a spiritual Bounty Hunter. Donald Miller wrote a story. It spoke to me and I have not been able to get away from it. As a child I remember a Baptist preacher preaching against sin, and he was not afraid to call black, black, and white, white. He was not afraid to speak of Hell and consequences, but as I grew older the Church slowly evolved into the subject of grace, grace, grace, and very little about God’s laws. Now I see myself living in a day when morality is caving and the devil runs rampant. We have lost the vision of what it means to “ARREST” the devil.

Jesus asked how can a man spoil a strong man’s house, unless he first bind (arrest) the strong man?

I’m not going to get into this deep at this time. I’m only going to put it out little by little. I will go days without even checking this. You all can debate what I write between yourselves if you like. It don’t matter to me who agrees and who does not because the ones who “see it”, they will be the ones who “grow” by it, and find power to “arrest” the devil. I intend to write for the ones who “see it”, become convinced of it, and continue reading because they know it is a needed word to balance out all the “GRACE” preaching going on in this day of loose morality.

I will end this first article with two simple statements:

1.) The land of WISDOM has boundary lines. If we choose to live in wisdom, anointing, power, love, and freedom, we learn where the lines are drawn and live within them, as much as possible. And where we fail? That is where grace comes in. Grace is not a license for us to ignore boundary lines that God has set. Do we even know them any more?

2.) God’s love, without God’s laws, is not God’s love.  If we know how to be good parents, how much more does God? If you live on a busy road, and you love your children, you put up a strong fence! Since there are so many experts on grace these days, I’ve decided, at least for a while, my subject shall be “Lawman Theology”.

We have been redeemed from the CURSE of the law, but the BLESSINGS are all still there! Living within the lines of your authority and jurisdiction, is the greatest freedom of all. All the Bible greats loved and embraced God’s laws. Psalms 19:7-11 is a great example of this. David was a man after God’s own heart!

Maybe that was three statements, but know this, the Bible speaks of the “Lawless one”, and the “mystery of lawlessness”. These things are developing right before our very eyes. The devil needs to be arrested. In our own life first, and also in the life of others, if we are EVER to know true freedom.

GRACE WILL NOT ARREST THE DEVIL, BUT ONLY THE LAW, SPOKEN IN THE NAME OF THE ONE WHO FULFILLED ALL THE LAW. I believe little by little, I can make an excellent case for this. The law has not passed away, but by grace we have been made fit to arrest the devil, if only we know how. Much more to come!

“Samurai Sheep” > Blip!

I am very anxious to get back to the message of the “Samurai Sheep > A path of weakness”. However, I have yet another poem to shoot out first, but not yet for the poem either. (Am I confusing anyone?) So until the poem, here is a quick Samurai Sheep teaching that I have been pondering this morning as I prepare for Church.

It is amazing to me the courage and boldness our Master entered this earth with. I am one who happens to believe there was a lot that happened between Genesis verse one, and Genesis verse two. I believe that Lucifer may have been given authority over this planet at one time, possibly even the whole creation, until he was found taking some of the praise and worship “for himself”, as he was the most exalted of the angels, and he began to think he should be as God. This caused a great destruction, and then the earth is eventually restored, man and woman created in God’s image, but a fallen Lucifer (Satan) reenters the scene, reclaiming his position of authority on this planet. (Through our fall into sin.)

Scripture declares that Satan is the prince of the air, and the god of this world. He even tempted Christ by offering him the kingdoms of man, if only he would bow and worship him. Evidently, they were his to give.

Now I have said all this to emphasize that when our Lord showed up on this planet, he was completely in enemy territory! Picture if you were to go into Iran today, or North Korea, and start proclaiming the Gospel of Christ loudly in the streets? Also perform a miracle, or two, and what do you think is going to happen? Now you say, but he was the Lord! Yes, in a weak flesh and blood body, limiting himself to perform in a way possible for even us! How did he do this? Do we realize the courage, boldness, and power of faith his mission required? I’m still trying to mentally grasp it.

There was not one saved person on the face of this planet when he showed up. This was completely enemy turf! Now you have to know Satan could not allow such a thing to be going on in his turf! All mankind in a fallen condition and our Master shows up raising the dead! One fragile vessel of God walking around in a valley of death declaring restoration! God went throughout the enemy territory boldly proclaiming he was here to take it back? And how did he do this?

Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord! HE DID IT IN WEAKNESS. He fasted, prayed, and obeyed. He fasted, prayed, and obeyed. These things allowed the “Father” to flow through him like a “Lion”! But Jesus, himself, walked in meekness and lowliness of heart.

“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt. 11:29 NLT)

The path of weakness is a path of “submission”, to the greater cause of God.

King David was a “sheep” who lived like a “lion”, because he saw himself as a “sheep”, God was able to flow through him like a “LION”.

“The Lord is my shepherd, ” David wrote. This is the desired mentality of the samurai sheep.

“Samurai Sheep blip!”

Here is a quick spiritual blip that came to me as I was in prayer this morning.

Jesus is the greatest of warriors, but he is the warrior of love, a spiritual warrior, a warrior of righteousness, representing the Kingdom of God which operates by a different set of precepts and laws that are totally foreign to the ways of man. The Kingdom ways are so totally foreign to our own way of thinking, that it means a great transition in our own living and understanding for us to “follow” the Lord and produce the Kingdom in our own life.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT)

So…if the Lord is to be the Master we choose to follow…then what does it mean to be samurai for Christ?

It means we must embrace humility. Pride is our enemy, and we must learn what it truly means to be the “sheep” of his “flock”. Pride is amazingly deceitful in its ability to creep in on us.

“Look, I am sending you out as sheep  among wolves.” (Matt. 10:16 NLT)

Remember , Pride is Poison to the Anointing. (Selah).
